Grain House

At Grain House, a central London refurbishment project, Julija was engaged by Knight Harwood to assess the condition of existing historic timber floors and provide design checks and repair recommendations to enable their reuse in the future development. She reviewed a comprehensive moisture content survey and instructed a selective breakout of masonry where timbers were embedded, allowing for detailed inspection of their condition. Based on her findings, she provided clear guidance on structural repairs and reuse strategies. As a result, the 100-year-old timber floors were retained and integrated into the new design, reflecting Julija’s commitment to sustainability and thoughtful preservation of historic fabric.
