100 Bishopsgate
At 100 Bishopsgate, a 40-storey tower in central London, Julija spent several years working closely with the Multiplex team to resolve a range of complex construction engineering challenges. She was responsible for the design and coordination of the support systems for four tower cranes: one mounted on a traditional reinforced concrete piled base, two supported on steel climbing frames within the building cores, and a fourth crane positioned on top of the core. The external crane required multiple levels of tying back to the core, including the design of embedment brackets and approximately 15-metre-long ties. Additionally, Julija designed a large gantry structure to support mammoth hoists and two passenger hoists over a busy logistics route, ensuring that vehicle movements could safely continue beneath the installation.
